Shocking political news yesterday morning as Justin Trudeau called a surprise press conference to report that Conservative MP Eve Adams was crossing the floor to the Liberals. Her fiancee, Dimitri Soudas, is joining the back office of the party as well.
Usually in politics everybody partisans up when something like this happens. The party who lost the MP trashes them, the party that scored the MP elevates them, and their supporters all clamour in.
Which is why by far the second funniest part of today's social media reaction has been partisan Conservatives chortling with glee that Eve Adams, who was coincidentally prohibited from running for the Harper Conservatives due to her numerous temper tantrums and electoral interference.
