Hillary likes her emails and hemails private

One thing you can say about Hillary Clinton: she could show Lois Lerner a thing or two.

Lois Lerner got in trouble a few years ago for breaking government rules about retaining emails and other records on her department computer systems.

Hillary did her one better, skipping the government computers altogether.

Mrs. Clinton did not have a government email address during her four-year tenure at the State Department. Her aides took no actions to have her personal emails preserved on department servers at the time, as required by the Federal Records Act.

It was only two months ago, in response to a new State Department effort to comply with federal record-keeping practices, that Mrs. Clinton’s advisers reviewed tens of thousands of pages of her personal emails and decided which ones to turn over to the State Department. All told, 55,000 pages of emails were given to the department. Mrs. Clinton stepped down from the secretary’s post in early 2013.

It's been noted several times that if you try any of the shit these high-ranking U.S. government officials routinely get away with, you'd be in jail. Just ask Conrad Black.

Hilldawg, on the other hand, barely gets a murmur when she pulls this stuff. Mark Steyn, of course, won't let her jog off without a fight though.

What the Times calls her "personal" email account is, in fact, a "secret" email account, created explicitly to put her beyond the scrutiny of mere humdrum cabinet secretaries. Bill and Hillary have always operated on the principle that rules are for the little people, and they see no reason why that should change for the second Clinton Presidency.
