I still can't believe The Babe has less pull in baseball than some damned goat

I've often remarked that if there was any justice in the world, the Cubs would have faced the Red Sox in the 2003 World Series, beaten the ALers in 6 games, and put their curse away before Boston. After all, you'd think the Bambino has a little more clout than a farm animal. But you would be wrong.

Hell, you think the goat could at least beat out the intra-city team that rigged baseball's most holy of matches, the World Series. Again, you'd be wrong.

And now, we discover that Bull Buckner, the second most hated man in modern Red Sox history, committed his famous error using a Chicago Cubs batting glove underneath his catching glove. There's tempting fate, but this is ridiculous.
