Just to keep a link to it after the Edmonton SUN abandons it:
So much complaining about prosperity
Mike Jenkinson, Edmonton SUN
The history - or at least, the mythological history - of Alberta is that this province was built on the backs of strong, independent, hard-working, risk-taking individuals who believed in limited government and free enterprise.
So, if that's the case, why are there so many people out there complaining about our prosperity?
We're in the middle of the biggest boom in the history of humanity and there's so much whining about it from pundits, politicians and assorted ordinary folks.
Sure, there's labour shortages, a housing crunch and not enough roads. Welcome to life in a roaring economy, where things literally can't get done fast enough.
But if I hear another person complain about how there's suddenly no Alberta Advantage anymore, I think I'm going to scream.
