Ducks can't do math

Today's Afflec trivia question during the Yankees-Royals game:

Since 1990 the Royals have started 17 different players in Left Field on Opening Day. Who's the only player to start twice?
That. Doesn't. Work!
Seventeen since 1990? Lets run down the possible starters:
  1. 1990
  2. 1991
  3. 1992
  4. 1993
  5. 1994
  6. 1995
  7. 1996
  8. 1997
  9. 1998
  10. 1999
  11. 2000
  12. 2001
  13. 2002
  14. 2003
  15. 2004
  16. 2005
  17. 2006
That's all 17 years covering Opening Day 1990 'til Opening Day 2006. That means if the Kansas City Royals had started 17 different players in that span, there are no players left to have started an additional time. If one sole player started Left Field two different years, then only 16 different players have opened in that role. Idiots.
