Me and the boys had our baseball draft tonight.
For some reason, only 6 people signed up (at least 3 more were interested and never did).
Anyways, here's my draft order:
- StPattyFingeredMe:
- Johan Santana, SP (6)
- Derek Lee, 1B (7)
- Ichiro Suzuki, OF (18)
- Roy Oswalt, SP (19)
- Aramis Ramirez, 3B (30)
- Jeff Kent, 2B (31)
- Derek Jeter, SS (42)*
- Chone Figgins, 2B (43)
- Billy Wagner, RP (54)
- Joe Nathan, RP (55)
- Chad Codero, RP (66)
- Andy Pettitte, SP (67)
- Adam Dunn, OF (78)
- Mark Buehrle, SP (79)
- Scott Podsednik, OF (90)
- Chipper Jones, 3B (91)
- C.C. Sabathia, SP (102)
- Kenji Johjima, C (103)
- Keith Foulke, RP (114)
- Coco Crisp, OF (115)
- Jhonny Peralta, SS (126)
- Cliff Floyd, OF (127)
- Scot Shields, RP (138)
- Jose Contreras, SP (139)
The shame of 6 people. However, the real danger comes from the stat categories:
Hitters: Runs, Home Runs, RBIs, Stolen Bases, Assists, OPS
Pitchers: Wins, Saves, Strikeouts, ERA, WHIP, K/BB
We shall see.....
So why does CBS.Sportsline have baseball fantasy drafts that don't start until April 20th? I mean, Yahoo lets you draft within the hour... you usually see a team fill up quick like that.
Weird.
