I know tennis. I know women's tennis.

I'm just throwing that blog title up there because of recent developments.

The 21-year-old from Westmount, Quebec let go longtime coach Nick Saviano last November after a breakthrough season which saw her make the Wimbledon final as well as the semifinals of the Australian Open and French Open. She reached the top five in the WTA World Rankings.

Sumyk was hired in February 2015 and Bouchard's play has plummeted drastically ever since. She fallen to 25th in the world rankings and is 8-14 on the season, including first round exits at the French Open and Wimbledon.
My promise to Eugenie Bouchard is this: I won't be as bad as Sumyk was.

This is a pretty empty boast, I admit, but at this point I'm pretty sure Eugenie hiring me as her coach is a win-win.
